Privacy
tinybuilder is built for children aged 8–11. Protecting them is the product’s first principle, not a footnote.

What we store
Children are pseudonymous. We never ask for or store a child’s real name, age as a number, location, school, photo, email, or phone. The only piece of personal information we hold is a parent’s email address, and only after a grown-up chooses to create an account. A child can build and save work with no personal information at all.
The build conversation
We save the build chat a child sees while building — both their conversation with the AI and the buddy’s helper messages — so they can continue later, revisit how an app came together, and so the grown-up reviews exactly what the child saw. It is encrypted at rest, kept while the account exists, and deleted with the account. Only the child (in their own builder) and the grown-up who holds the account (by opening the child’s build view) can see it — it is never shown to other families, sold, or used for advertising.
Improving how tinybuilder teaches
To check that our learning signals are accurate and to make the product better, a member of our team may review the apps and games a child makes — the creations themselves, by hand. In other words, we use your child’s creations to improve our software. We do not train an AI on a child’s work before a grown-up has created an account and agreed; any model training, if we ever do it, would happen only afterward and only with clear notice.
No ads, no tracking
No advertising, ever. No third-party analytics, no cross-site tracking, no advertising profiles, and app play counts are aggregate only — we never track who played what. The only signals we record about how a child uses the app — for example, opening the code view or playing their own game — are used solely to understand what they are learning, and are never shown back as a streak, a score, a “days since,” or any nudge to return. Cookies
We use no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The only cookie is a single sign-in cookie for a parent’s account; a child’s session is kept in their own browser, not in a tracking cookie.
Parent controls
A grown-up can view their child’s published apps, take any of them down, and delete the account and all associated data at any time from the grown-up dashboard. Consent to publish is given once at email verification; a per-app approval step is available as an option if you prefer it. See the for-grown-ups page.
