Terms of use

These terms cover how tinybuilder may be used. Because tinybuilder is made for children, a parent or guardian accepts them on the child’s behalf when they create an account.

Who can use it

tinybuilder is designed for children aged 8–11, used with the involvement of a parent or guardian. A child can explore and build without an account; a grown-up must create a free account before anything a child makes can be published to the store.

Your child’s creations are theirs

A child owns what they make. By publishing, you give tinybuilder permission to host and display the app so other children can play and remix it, and to remove it if it breaks these terms or our safety rules. You can unpublish or delete a creation at any time.

The build conversation

As a child builds, the build chat is saved — both their conversation with the AI and the buddy’s helper messages along the way — so they can pick up where they left off, see how an app grew, and so the saved record faithfully reflects what the child actually saw. It is stored encrypted, kept while the account exists, and deleted when the account is deleted. The child can see their own chat, and the grown-up who holds the account can review the same record by opening the child’s build view from the grown-up dashboard. We never sell it, show it to other families, or use it for advertising.

Learning signals

As a child builds, tinybuilder notices simple, content-free signals about how they use the app — for example, opening the code view, playing their own game, or returning to a project across sessions. We use these only to understand what a child is learning and to shape gentle, optional suggestions. They are never used for advertising, never sold, and — a firm rule — never shown to a child as a streak, a count, a leaderboard, or a “you haven’t been here in a while.” By creating an account, a grown-up agrees that tinybuilder may collect these in-session learning signals about their child.

Using it fairly

Don’t use tinybuilder to make anything harmful, hateful, frightening to other children, or unlawful; don’t try to make the AI collect or reveal personal information; and don’t attempt to break out of the app sandbox or disrupt the service. Published apps may be remixed by other children, with the original creator credited.

Publishing & moderation

Publishing always requires a grown-up’s consent and passes content moderation. We may decline, remove, or re-review any app to keep the community safe — a decision we make to protect children, never to judge a child’s effort.

Accounts & deletion

A grown-up can delete the account and all associated data at any time from the grown-up dashboard. We may suspend an account that repeatedly breaks these terms.

Availability & changes

tinybuilder is provided as-is while in active development; we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. We may update these terms; we’ll revise the date above and, for material changes, let account holders know.
